Hyderabadi Biryani
Ingredients
- Basmati Rice : 500 gm
- Curd : 2 Cup
- Ginger Garlic Paste : 2 tbsp
- Green Chillies : 3 piece
- Cooking Oil : 5 tbsp
- Saffron : 1 Pinch
- Eggs : 2 Piece
- Salt : As per taste
- Mutton/Chicken : 1 Kg
- Garam Masala : 2 tbsp
- Sliced Onions : 2 Cup (Golden fried)
- Lemon Juice
- Coriander Leaves
- Chilli Powder : 1 tbsp
- Turmeric Powder : 1 pinch
- Cashewnut : 50 gm
Step 1 :
First boil the water, add oil, salt and cook the Kohinoor Extra Long Grain Basmati Rice till it is half cooked, and keep aside.
Step 2 :
Next marinate the mutton (chicken or lamb, if you prefer) by adding all the spices, curd, onion, and garlic & ginger paste. Keep aside for 1 to 1.5 hours.
Step 3 :
Now in a pan put some oil and then add the marinated mutton in the bottom layer and top it with half cooked basmati rice, add mint leaves, coriander leaves and friend onions.
Step 4 :
Repeat the same process twice to create 2 layers.
Step 5 :
Put saffron, pre-soaked in a little milk, cook for 30 minutes, or till cooked through.
Step 6 : Garnish with
Garnish with fried onions, fried cashews, slit and fried green chillies.
Step 7 : Serve with
Serve hot with raita and Mirchi Ka Salan.
